Justin Blau has been creating a lot of buzz in the EDM world lately. Under the alias 3LAU (pronounced BLAU!) he’s been producing some banging mashups while attending Washington University in St. Louis. In addition to touring around the country playing shows with some big names, some of his tracks have made their way onto the Hype Machine’s top 50 chart with thousands of favorites. His new remix “Back to New” is set to be released on Beatport April 30th.
But this isn’t an ordinary remix release. Justin has taken the initiative to donate all the proceeds from his track to Pencils of Promise, an organization dedicated to building schools for under privileged children in developing nations. His video captures the power and energy of the EDM movement and has a purpose that he describes as being bigger than you or me. It’s awesome to see a DJ harness the power of dance music for the greater good. Share the video and let’s help him reach his goal!
